They are too cheap for what they do, wiping full health units. The stugE is the bigger offender here for being available much earlier and it requires no teching either and is also less RNG-Dependant.

Problem is in infantry clumping, not in these particular units you've mentioned.

Don't confuse the cause with the effect.

I suggest you use that stuff then and see how far you can get

The STUG E is OP because it completely removes any disadvantages you would normally get by stalling for a heavy tank.

With any other doctrine, stalling for an IS-2 or Tiger will leave you quite valnuarable to infantry and medium tanks until you get 11 CPs. However later on you can come back since you have way more fuel because you didin't tech.

With this doctrine, there is no disadvantage since you basically get the most cost efficent infantry killer in the game, and still don't need to tech.

That said, with the current state of ostheer teching, this unit is kind of required.

/disagree
StuG E is quite vulnerable to medium tanks too.
It is good when BOTH players stalling for a heavy tank.

A slight correction if you don't mind.

I mean its not quite as bad as the old ISU, but it comes reasonably close. :faint:

Stug E has poor penetration and therefore is very vulnerable to mediums and even light tanks when flanking.

it's true and TWP doesn't change that. it is very good in a combined arms situation though, apart from dieing fast (removing the "combined" part of the arms). it's quite brutal against USF without a med tank or T1 soviets but that has more to do with shit faction design then a fundamental issue with the stug e.

it might need some very small adjustments but those aren't the kind that relic is good at.
