BARs or M1919s

Which one is better on a Riflemen squad and why

BAR's can fire on the move and I believe have slightly better close range DPS. Otherwise 1919s are better in every way besides the fact they're locked behind a doctrine. I dont think I've ever seen someone go infantry and still get BAR's

M1919's also have free suppression mode, so you can walk up to infantry and instantly lay down and suppress them whenever you like.

Bar for Close-mid AI effective and 60% moving acc good for assault attack
M1919A6 LMG good effect in long-mid and with Def stance it good hold the line tactic
but when start def stance expose for Stuka line barrage , Riflenade , Tank crush , etc

In my opinion mix Rifle 2 bar and Rifle 2 Lmg it ok for deal unpredict enemy

Ps. If grab 1 M1919A6 and got 1 LMG42 or LMG34 def stance is quick suppression

You cant go Armored and have M1919s so clearly Bars are better

They're A LOT better close-range, but odds are fairly good the map will make easier to just right-click cover and pewpewpewpew from there instead of closing in.

Also, you might as well save some fuel...

It depends on your play style, it's your commander choice and you can't simply compare one simple passive ability (M1919) with a core feature (BAR).

That being said, it depends on your play style. If you want to dig in (AKA camp) M1919 is for you, specially if the enemy is blobbing (most notably OKW). You can easily use Defensive Stance and suppress high value targets (LMG34Obers, Flamers, AT squads). Keep in mind that if you use this, are game becomes more static and you might get REKT by StuKa (GGWP in the first barrage), CAS (CAS REKS everything in that matter), Mortars off-map arty and Pzwerfer in larger games. You are gonna need Jacksons for late game and you probably won't need Shermans/Scotts.

On the other hand, with the BAR you do great amount of damage on the move and it's ideal if the enemy is using weapon teams (HMGs, Mortars, PAKs) and your whole army is mobile. You can also chase and finish off retreating squads with BARs easily. There is less chance to get REKS by Stuka. BARs are great in urban maps while M1919s are good in open maps.

If you can get m1919s get m1919s,whether on paras or rifles.

if you cant get m1919, SETTLE for BAR(which i honestly think is a piece of shit,why get that typewriter of a gun when you can have a m1919.)

i never buy BARs anymore. grenades are a much better use of munitions, i can't use grenades and BARs due to lack of munitions, and i never remember to go back to base for BARs.

I love the M1919, I go infantry quite a lot so I am used to having them. A couple of rifle squads in green cover near an important point at the right time can do some serious damage to an Axis player not paying attention.

double bar rifles are quite nice at short to mid range.

always go for lmgs when you go inf doctrine tho

M1919 infantry + jacksons + priest. You dont need anymore trust me.
