I also got the Audio lag issue about two weeks ago and I don't know what to do.
Short: My game used to run very well on mid to high settings and sound settings on high.
Then suddenly last week I tried to run a game and it was unplayable.
Whenever there was some sound for example, units shooting it lagged as hell and the audio stuttered very much.
My specs then were:
i7 2660k
MSI Mainboard with Realtek HD audio
Geforce 560 GTX TI
8GB RAM
Some rather old hard drives
I thought 'well okay, my PC is dying, it is not the newest one' because all my specs were about 2-3 years old (for me this isn't really a long time but I know that hardcore gamers switch their specs every year or so, haha)
So I first got a new graphics card and a SSD and another HDD. I removed the old hard drives because they were about to go down soon I thought.
New graphics card (970 GTX) and new hard drives DID NOT fix this problem.
So I thought 'okay well then the processor or the mainboard have a defect' because, you know, HD realtek audio onboard drivers.
I have to say that I also tested the game with a separate sound card from Creative. I disabled all HD realtek audio stuff in the BIOS and the device manager. DID NOT fix this problem as well.
Now my new processor and mainboard have arrived.
Newest i5 and Asus mainboard (again with realtek audio).
My RAM got checked several times and never any problem was determined.
In fact I have a whole new system. (Except RAM and my DVD drive, lol)
So I built it together yesterday and was pretty happy because logically a whole new System that is simply one day old can not have the same problem as the system before.
IT. DID. NOT. WORK!
Stuttering remains when audio settings are any higher than low.
On low everything runs more or less smooth (as you would expect it from CoH2 which is really not programmed very well).
But I don't understand it? How could it possibly start to stutter that much??
On the old system I did a complete reinstallation from DVD and downloaded all updates. Didn't help either.
In addition: The stutter also appears on League of Legends so it doesn't appear to be from CoH2 itself.
I also reinstalled Windows several times of course.
All drivers are up to date.
My new specs:
i5 4k something
Asus Mainboard with HD Realtek Audio
Geforce 970 Gtx
SanDisk SSD and Seagate HDD
8GB RAM (from the old system)
Please, anybody, help me.
I am so desperate
