Hi Relic,

Ostheer teching cost needs an update.... period. Is this on your priority list for reviewing?

Make teching damn cheap, like 50MP/10F but increase buildings costs, like 150MP/50F (+20F next Tier) so you can afford for cheap tech and skip T3 without any losses in resources.

In such way, to get a Panther you would need 150MP/30F - teching costs + 150MP/50F T2 + 150MP/90F T4.

300MP/140F for getting T4.

T1 would be cheap just like now, only T2/3/4 woule be expensive.

ost player consistently manage to get a p4 out 1 minute before my first sherman

I find it hard applying enough pressure to competent usf players to get my panzer4 out at the 9-10 minute mark. But of course it'll be a L2P issue on my part. Should be getting those p4s out at 8 minutes or else I'm a scrub.

it's strange. timing wise, the tech costs make sense. wehr units arrive about when their counter parts do, the issue being you don't really have access to your full arsenal, unless you incur the charges of the structures, which if you only build one unit and tech swap, means you don't get a lot of equity on your investment, and fall behind economy wise, if you're not already a touch behind due to ever constant struggle for map presence.

The costs also make sense, since you unlock stuff like panzerfaust, rifle nades and lmg42, stuff usf and soviets have to pay for or choose a certain commander.

Well, 560/115 vs 440/140 in tech cost. At least you get some LT & Major on the way.

I just wish the tech up cost would be less mp heavy, so you got some staying power in the meanwhile.

yeah, that's right.
on that note as well, i wish the flameht upgrade didn't require t3. give the wehr a little more impact against things like shocks.

Not costing as much munitions as a light artillery barrage would also be nice...it certainly ain't the general-purpose wrecking crew M1919A6 Paras are.

Regarding fuel costs, Ostheer teching is fine IMO. Battlephases just should be cheaper/buildings more expensive.

MP costs shouls also be reduced. From 200 per BP to 100 so that you pay 220MP for T2/ and 260MP for T3/T4.

I'm pretty sure it's 99% of Ostheer's 1v1 problems and I won't be dissuaded in thinking so until it is fixed!

Also because if they're still doing badly after that it would be actual proof against my thinking.

yeah, i feel like it's a hold over from the launch patch. before hand any flame could alt-f4 entire armies of infantry.

but again, it's not like relic to take a holistic approach to balance.

Instead of reducing Ostheer tech costs, the costs of other factions should be slightly increased & call ins should be bound to tech. I personally think that tanks come too early at the moment, especially the call in tanks.

You have hardly time to play with your infantry & light vehicles before a rushed 9 minute tank hits the field.

tech costs are fine t1>t3. t4 should just be cheaper. P4's already come out to fast, I don't want 5 minute P4's being the new meta
