btw I just finished the exterior of the coh2.org palace. I'll post some screenshots soon. Here is the one I used to get the scale of the floorplan. I took a screenshot from google earth of the real Menshikov Palace (outside of St.Petersberg/former Leningrad), then ran it through a program called "Spritecraft" that turns an img into minecraft blocks. Then it was a matter of counting blocks to sketch out the floorplan.

My wife and I wanted to move somewhere to make use of the new 1.7 biomes. After a nether journey we ended up portalling up into this unassuming bit of Plains, far away from civilisation.
Humble beginnings. That dirt shape is what I put at the top of all my mining exits so I know where I've been.
My new house. Very compact.

I built a viewing tower so I could look at everything I'd built.
The villagers in the first village where annoying me. So, time to build a bigger one elsewhere.
