Hey there! Linden is my favourite map from CoH1, and I would love to see it appear as a 2v2 only map (to cause no trouble during the game)

Here's what I would like to see:

- Linden (named just that) with the new mud tech here and there. Don't cover the entire map, but feel free to replace some of the water with mud. Should be interesting, as half of that map is a swamp.

- Linden Winter (snow's everywhere!)

And please, no custom abilities or resource changes, or pop-cap changes. Just good old Linden. Please take the time to make these two maps, I would love it so much. Thanks!

I would like to add.

If some one wants to create a map. Make it symmetrical, may be with different bush or tree but with the same size and all effects as for the other side.

Some are shallow crossable, while some are impasse. A lot of it is crossable red cover.

I just found two maps related to vCoH´s Linden in the workshop.

One for 3 vs 3 made by "Company of Cowards" with custom ressources and 250 PopCap for those who like that.

and

one map called "Lipa" for 2 vs 2 transported from vCoH by "Deadfall" with normal income and 100 PopCap. (But allegedly bugged for U.S.-Forces because of the base.)

I like the ideas you mentioned. I´m looking forward that somebody (PigSoup? :D) will bring this map back to CoH2 in an appropriated version. :thumb:

To be frank, I am not sure. It has a large city section that's not in the middle, with a larger part of it being wide open ground swampland and a secondary smaller town. Pretty big with plenty of room to maneuver, but also soft chokepoints in the sense that they can be circumvented but not very easily.

Ice would make it very open to add.

looks like castroy already found them.

i might start a map based on the theme of the map. but i would make towns much less clusterfucked and open. and eastern themed as well.

50% 75% that i will just give up in next few days.

30% 20% that i might do it taking 2+ months.

20% 5% that i might do it taking less than 2 months.

I would really just like Linden itself and a snow version. I am a bit obsessive about the naming and I don't want any other option than 4 player for Custom Game reasons. That would make the 2 month wait for an eastern themed version far easier.

Alternatively, if such a conversion is not hard to do, maybe you could give me a crash course and I could import Linden myself?

so your problem with those two are the names and 3v3 capability on one?

be mindful that when i say make towns more open, i mean no outer walls, and like the town in semoisky with entrance from all sides.

so i dont think my rendition would be more faitful than those two, which are pretty faithful imo.

and i have no idea how to convert map from coh1. i dont even know how to do snow ffs lol. i might try to learn and do.

Yep. And adding mud would be great too, as Linden is a swampland partially.
