I am interested in playing COH2
To play COH2 both multiplayer and single player just buy "Company of Heroes 2 - Ardennes Assault"?
Or need to buy first "company of heroes 2"?

Ardennes Assault is a standalone single player campaign. So you cannot play mp if you just purchase AA. Company of Heroes 2 gives you acces to the Soviet single player campaign plus multiplayer with Soviet and Ostheer factions. You can also buy The Western Front Armies, with wich you can just play multiplayer with either USF or OKW (or both).

DON'T buy ardennes assult, it's just a single player campaign.
Company of Heroes 2 will give you access to soviet and east german armies, or you can buy west german faction (OKW) or US faction which are stand alone.
