Obers scale better and don't pay munitions for their LMG. More utility as well. They come later in tech though.

In short, Pgrens start off as very good medium range troops who are glass cannons, they out dps Paras and have the option of upgrading to shreks which changes their role. They can be somewhat map/context dependent due to their range profile, but i'd argue that is good design.
Paras are good vanilla, and really shine with their AI upgrades, especially the LMG's because that weapon profile in Coh2 generally speaking, requires less micro and tactical thought. 2 LMG's on a durable platform for 120 munitions and 380 mp is a headache to face, like multiple Gren/ober/whatever squads with LMGs once they hit critical mass.

I mean... 3-4 Rifles, Lt or Cpt before paras arrive.
Drop 2 squads (which is not blob) and you will lose pop cap for Shermans.
Wasting vetted Rifles for unvetted paras is not good option but even then, you have to spend tons of MP to replace rifles with paras so again, how do you blob with paras?
Not to mention that you need 120ammo, which means 360ammo for paras blob.

Any lost rifle squads are replaced by paras.2 paras u can build without.Support with jacksons/sherman.And ofc u have daddy thunderbolt to come calling when u need it.You don't need sherman with paras mostly because ur AI is so good.

Does the poster realize is OKW is of no use to ostheer which can't fight para/1919 blobs with LMG grens?The biggest bleed is in losing units to wipe and reinforce.

grens with half-track will bleed them soo hard, that they will need to rush for a sherman.

Its never 1 para vs 2 grens,you know that.Its blob vs blob.And when blobs face off,they focus fire.Gren will melt and wipe far quicker,often before u can retreat.U can't do that to paras at all.They will simply overrun you.Also all they need to do is make you move.
In lategame its all blobs,and i'm not talking about 1 vs 1 alone here,but also teamgames.1 VS 1 rarely even lasts that long,lol.Its 90% gg in 10-15 mins.

Replace any lost rifles with paras.At 28 reinforce they will pay themselves very well.

I learned the hard way that if i didnt blob lmg paras i would lose hard to blobbed lmg grens.

Getting 2 paras to go with ur 3 rifles plus an officer isn't unfeasable AT ALL.Then if u lose rifle squad replace para.Since paras are very cheap to reinforce and don't wipe MP pressure is not as much as u claim at all.Gretaest mp pressure is the squadwipes it lays down on ost inf.USF rifle-para blob will smash lmg gren blob - no 2 ways about it.You simply don't have any other options....gren..live or die.
