I've encountered this strategy twice this week and I have trouble dealing with it.Basically it involves going ost doctrine,getting 2 osts to build reinforcement and medic bunkers in a key loacation and just spam a whole lot of grens and pgrens to take the map and paks to deal with vehicles.With the resource redistribution I have to watch every engagement to make sure my squads font get wiped by vet lmgs and riflenades,I am having os much trouble against this strat even tho it shouldnt be that hard to counter.Excluding IS2/ISU152/KV flame,what would you suggest doing against this?

Artillery should do the trick, make him regret setting up in one area and bombard him.

I tried a katyusha,let's say that didn't really work out all that well,heavy mortar would do much better,but then I might as well go for call ins and that's boring

I actually watched a game last night with a hilariously bad take on this strategy. Essentially 5 osttruppen squads formed in a small area around a bunker on Semoskiy's left side. The OH player constantly replaced losses without moving his massive Osttruppen blob, and he eventually bled himself to defeat...on Osttruppen.

I prefer to be fairly aggressive with Osttruppen. My early game build is Ost, Ost, HMG, Ost, Pio (double pio flamers) but this strat is best served on maps with plenty of cover for the accuracy bonus. I hardly ever turtle with bunkers or trenches. The only time I will build trenches is for a mortar. lel

How on earth do you survive not getting a sweeper?
