The only good experience with Razer i made with mousepads. They are really awesome. Their mice are horrible (i had the Razer imperator)
Such a program also uses computer ressources. Its easier to switch off all unneeded stuff by yourself, which is not that hard to do.

from what I've heard the experience with Razor boost varies however this is what I can say from my own experience:
Before I found it the game was only playable on low setting(@1200*1000 res), now i use mid-high(@1600*1200 or sth like that) with the same fps. So Im very happy with it!
Im running a computer I built 2008 so 512mb radeon 4850 gfx card, amd 9550 quadcore 2,2 ghz processor, 4 gb ram(1066hz)
ps.Bought a sapphire 3gb 4970 card today and will upgrade the rest soon

so it is overclocking programme for dummies?
I wonder why would someone make it, people without overclocking knowledge and overclock = burning their rig

You're better off using the Nvidia experience

Ctrl + Shift + Esc
Exit all programs that are not your game
Go to Processes
Find your game
Right click -> Set priority -> High
You have now done everything that such 'game boosters' do without filling your pc with adware/crapware

It is not an overclocking program. It simply switches services and/or background programs off to your specification while playing a game, which saves up resources to be used for the game instead of for the OS or otherwise. So it frees up ram and CPU usage. I might add it does this automatically every time you enter a game that you added to it's list, and switches all services and programs back on again after you quit the game.
I have been using it for a while now and it definitely makes a difference to loading times in games, and obviously should help with FPS, have not really looked into that.
This program should not be of any use to people with high end pc's though.
