Not that relevant, there is maybe one missions where you can farm vet

Every single req point left unspent is 50 points extra to the score, it's obvious most of the score will be made up by that alone.


Company Strength

Not sure how this is scored


4500+500*((company strength total)/300)

God knows WHY it is like that, but it's obvious enough it's being calculated this way.


Mission Completion Medals

Maybe tops at 10,000 or so?



Maxes out at 8000.

16 missions, 500 points each for gold, 250 for silver, 125 for bronze


Absolute max score for campaign is:

6000+5000+4500+8000+50*requisition, and for now doesn't seem like you can gain more than ~550 requisition. So pretty much 50000 max score.

Actually, in my experience, each requisition point seems to be worth about 10 points in the end-game. I can't actually figure that out because I can't find anywhere where it says the remaining Requisition Points, but it's always made up a rather insignificant portion of my score, probably less than 500 points (then again, I usually use most of mine).

Just finished it. Didn't read any threads about it or anything, just tried to kick the shit out of the AI as if it was a multiplayer game. Fast and dirty, don't lose squads, combined arms, no cheese, etc. I had fun.

I dunno. I don't like how the scoring is calculated. Why would I not spend my req. points on upgrades? What's the point of the upgrades if you lose score when you get them? That's kinda dumb. I like the variety in the missions and I like trying to do the side missions whilst completing the main mission... that's where the real scoring should be; collecting intel and accomplishing side missions. But from reading this thread it sounds like trying to do that will hurt you more that it will help you in terms of score. And I would never afk farm vet... that's just stupid. It would be nice if Relic made a scoring system that rewards high skill and explained it right up front, instead of making us all read threads and be clever and extrapolate math from examples to figure out how to hack/exploit their game for score.

Am I correct in assuming you can get higher scores by playing easier modes? That's just ass backwards.

Yeah, I can see where they went with not spending RQ, but it then means that the best way to get a high score is not to use them for anything even if it means more of your guys die.


I think side missions are worth doing for what you get for them (Experience and Reinforcement), but you have to know when to go for them and when not to.


I don't actually know if you can get a higher score at easier difficultly


I do agree with you though that the scoring system should be rebalanced for future releases, more emphasis on Missions and Survival and less on not spending RQ. Also there should be some kind of penalty for withdrawing from missions


That said though, compared to the initial campaign and the TOW it is a gigantic step forward and I hope they do more like it


I feel I have beaten it now, and probably won't play it again except for "fun", however I reckon I got 100 hours or so from it and it was worth the money
