Riflespam-how heavy?

It's recently occured to me that this isn't vCoH. In vCoH, IIRC, there was a rule that 4 rifles was a heavy drain, 5 rifles was rarely worth it, and never go for 6 because of upkeep. Is this the same in CoH 2? I know the "rule" is 3 rifle---> LT or 4 rifle ---> CPT but is this really true? And how many rifles should I build once the officers are out?

you can spam rifles as hard as you want honestly. On Stalingrad for example you could probably justify 8 or 9 rifle squads. Especially if you went rifle company.

Might be why I've been losing. I've been rigidly sticking to not exceeding 4 rifles. I'll try that. How about on more open maps?

I don't see it. On more open maps there's less chokepoints so it's easier to flank, in principle, and get close. On closed maps, a single mg can hold off an entire lane.

Well on open maps MG42 and MG34s pwn you. I think LT., Airborne ATG drop and M8 plus some zookas might help.
