coh2 overhaul??

I keep seeing all of these concept art and ideas that was orginally in coh2, its miles better than what's in the game and would probably make it more interesting, not to mention I feel there are some graphical enhancements that was in the game during beta that never came back since release. It seems that's what relic has been building for ever since they released the infantry patch in march.

Don't count on scrapped ideas to ever be in.

Relic can't swallow its pride. That is probably why they won't go back and change some major decisions.

Name one game that did that.
I know only a single one that is going to admit defeat(because it haven't yet) and completely redesign what clearly never worked. And it still took them almost 2 years to realize that.
Maybe adding blizzards wow to that would make two. But thats still mmos, can't really think of any non mmo game that ever did drastic changes to design post release.

Hmmmm I can't really think of one off the top of my head either...
Maybe Deus Ex Human Revolution? I am playing the Director's Cut version of it right now, but i heard that the original release got complaints from gamers about some things. THe developers went back and revamped some stuff and released the updated version as Director's Cut.
But yeah..it is tough think of a company that does that, maybe a small indie studio? then again, a small indie studio probably does a good job at listening to feedback at the initial development stages so they don't need to go back.....

Concept art are most of the time vastly different to the final product, I think people overreact to the unit uniforms because 90% of the time you don't have the time to look at them. Im more disappointed at base buildings, the artwork indicates they had bigger plans for them than what we ended up with and compare to coh1 they look really bad.
