What do you think of an SU-85 buff?

The SU-85 is in a pretty good spot. What does need to be changed though is the useless Vet 1 ability (this goes for all Soviet Units) and making T4 more viable. (Swapping T70 and Su76 would help)

I honestly think that the SU needs a pen buff.

Exactly. Making Russian T4 viable will loosen up the ability to use other commanders. There are a lot of interesting Russian commanders you simply can't risk using due the fact there is no real non doctrinal tank to counter Axis Panther/Tiger/KT/Jagd. This would give the russians that non-doctrinal tank.

Exactly !

Would be cool, but that would make T4 the absolute choice, so making it available after T3 + T4 is built would be great since it would be a huge fuel investment and help Soviet call in meta with a viable unit that is capable of challenging Axis medium-heavies.

A nice idea !

Relic are gonna redesign callin mechanic atleast they have hinted they will. Noone builds su-85 now because it is more efficient to save up for callins. The solution is not to make su-85 "spammable", it's to fix the callin mechanic (and soviet T3 & T4 tech cost).

The problem isn't really the su-85, it's that the su-85 is really the only reliable tank destroyer the soviets have. They don't have any non-doctrinal AT infantry, and guards aren't even that good either.

Whereas with okw, they don't need to get a JPIV, because they have so many other options, what's the point? It's a great unit, but there is hardly a need to build it.

I think the su-76 isn't that bad, the issue is that it's too expensive, and comes out too late. I'd like to see the su-76 have more of a stug-E type role, I think that would be more useful.

The su85 could use an accuracy buff and maybe better maneuverability, but other than that I think it's in a pretty good spot.

SU-85 needs a buff? Madness, it is the most under-rated TD in the game, problem is most 'players' have no idea how to micro and therefore it must be the tanks fault not theirs...........

I like the SU-85, a little frontal armour buff would be nice though. I would also like to try T-34 85 as non doctrinal (considering it was one of the soviets most commonly used tanks late in the war).

I don't think a buff would change soviets that much, it already has nice AT capabilities but its always going to be outclassed by the bigger guns, if it wasn't it would be ridiculous. I think another change is necessary to stop the call-in meta.

the su85 is not a bad unit though it is slightly overpriced imo , i think the main problem is the abundance of heavies and superheavies. if you knock the price of t4 by 20 fuel and 40 mp and make su85 20 fuel cheaper and the su76 as well then you could solve the problem
