I think the P-47 anti-tank Rocket Stike is too OP now. More and more US players start to use the Airborne company commander because of this ability. WOW it can do a lot of heavy damage to german heavy tanks ,even the JT and KT. If you don't get your tanks out of the area which is so large timely, the P-47 planes can destroy all of your heavy tanks including panthers, tigers, KT, JT and elephants. I think it is too OP for just 240 munitions, compared to usless OKW artillery strikes which costs more munitions but does little damage.

BTW,OST Fragmentation Bomb costing 180 munitions, is the most usless OST aircraft ability. It can be very unaccurate, since the ability acting area is too narrow.

And, The Soviet IL-2 strikes (cost 180 munitions) and OST stuka close air support (cost 200 munitions) have been usless for a long time because of nerfs.

Test the P-47 and you will find it is the strongest airsupport ability now!

I would agree with you if the USF actually had a good alternative to destroy Jagdtiger/Elefant.
A bit overperforming yes, but not in the current state of USF. For now they need it. When they get another good option to kill tanks it can be toned down a bit.

And you seem to forget that OKW flaks a destroying it super fast.

It is there to make up for the lack of US heavy armor, without it US have no chance against Axis heavy armor supported with shreckblobs or Paks(especially in team games).

Somewhat disagree. It's the only effective counter against late german heavy armor. I think it's fine actualy. The only problem with this ability is that it makes USF players to exclusively chose this doctrine in larger games and this is not ok for diversity's sake.

P.S. I laugh remembering the time when people called me german fanboy and crying because they couldn't find a solution to german armor. Then me, a "german fanboy" who "exclusively" played germans, I came and say "why the fuck don't you use the P47 air strike?". Today, people playing USF are using it intensively. Searching for solutions is allways better than whining.

Actually its because this is the only commander that allows the US to field mgs, AT guns and have a useful flanking unit. The joy of retarded tech structure.

P47 may be a tad too good but its not as game breaking/changing as some other issues.

It's not hard to avoid at all. Just reverse out of the area of effect.

First there is the smoke indicating something is coming then the first pass, which will not kill any medium tank. This should be more than enough time to realise that one needs to reposition the unit.

If one chooses to stay that's the result of one's risk-reward assessment which might turn out to be wrong.

It is a strong air support ability nontheless.

1) US has pretty bad AT otherwise
2) If you go airborne, you forgo stuff like Priests and E8 so you need late-game help
3) It's avoidable if you smoke/blitz out of the area
4) you usually have an advance warning that he went airborne (pathfinders or paras), plan accordingly and get AA
5) I bloody well hope a 240 ammo ability that only targets vehicles in line of sight is effective at what it does.

The claims of this ability being OP are vastly over spoken. It is a very expensive late game ability that is countered by moving your tanks in reverse. I have yet to have a strike destroy a full armor tank. Seriously, just move your tanks and all will be fine.

The only case I have used P47 with uber-success has been in a 4v4 where a JT was not moving. Two USF players called in two strikes at the same time and the Soviet player put mark target on it.

Its very random in my experience. Sometimes it deals heavy damage to enemy tanks, sometimes it misses completely, sometimes planes get shot down immediately. I think its quite broken in the current state, half time it does nothing, half time it win you games.
