I had a terrible time playing the game before I got a new comp (Gtx770). And I can confirm that you dont need a good internetconnection to play the game in multiplayer. I used up all my internet for this month so they lowered the speed to 20 kb/s. With this connection the game runs with no problem at all. So for those who have problems with coh2, it is related to the comp in 99% of the cases.

I'm having the same experience. I live in a shared flat with a terrible Wlan connection and I can always play Coh2. Other games like Dota 2 or CS:GO are lagging terribly, but Coh2 is always running smooth.

Remember guys, it was possible to play shooters and RTS's in the 90's on 3kb per second dialup. 28.8 baud modems man!It does not take that much of a data stream to send constant coordinates. The info in COH2 is not really much different than it was for Starcraft in 1998, or Command and Conquer in 1996. We run at over a 1000 times that old bandwidth. Even when broadband is poor it should be more than enough. That's why you guys notice no difference. 20kb/s is 6 times better than I got with my 28.8 modem. People in 1998 would have freaked at that kind of speed.

It's kind of strange considering I play this game fine against AI but when I get to multiplayer everything in the game stops and fast forward every 5 seconds, and I have 30 mbps speed. I have no connection problem at all in other games, so I have no idea what's causing it.

the game only transfers what is stored in the replay file.
If you play 1h, you'd get an 1-2MB file. That is all you need. problems

That fast forwarding issue doesnt come from the internet connection. I've heard of people who got a new computer, which fixed it.
