I didn't realise people had issues with the Kubelwagon after they nerfed it in the last patch. Isn't it pretty much back to where it was originally when everyone said it was a waste of manpower?

That is because they reverted buffs for every single thing except the one that does make it overperform-the range. No tear down time+big range+50 fight+suppression is a recipe for overpowered as you will be able to see in advance all attacking units and open up on them before they will even see you.

Its no rocket science here, its plain common sense-you do NOT give suppressing unit huge attack AND sight range, there is a reason why all HMGs have only 35 sight range.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

In general units with both huge sight range and attack range tend to be questionable- look at the Puma, pre nerf focus-sight SU85, ISU, Elefant, so on and so forth... At least scopes don't work on the move and focus-sight slows units down now. The Puma, though, is really great because long range + long vision range + lots of speed, just like the Kubel and in a way the soviet sniper (same applies, high range + vision + sprint speed).

That is a totally invalid defense of the "kubel is OP" argument.

Everyone knows that if you can show that the Kubel was at any time countered in some way that it proves the unit is not OP.

I'm saying that the video is not valid as a way of showing how to counter Kubel as USF when:
-Opponent didn't use Truck push to support Kubel.
-Lost kubel while spinning around some RE.
