Is it worth it to play as USF?

I've stopped playing because it's not worth my time. 2 kubels come out of the OKW and shut me down, especially on cutoff maps. Their mobility and on the move suppression negates any attempts at capping around, and a sturm pio squad ensures charging or flanking the kubels is hopeless. Rushing nades for smoke leaves me horribly behind for desperately needed m20. M8 greyhound comes too late. Dodge would be perfect but its at 1 CP and that's too late for it to be worth the rest of mech company. Veteran rifles have an AT nade but they will never get in range with proper OKW play and kubels can take an AT nade anyway.

What the hell do I do besides not play?

You have only 4 game as allies. Try now play USF in team games. ;)

Is this 1v1, 2v2 or larger team games?

In team games, I'm starting to use RETs to set up a couple of Fighting Positions near key locations. It's not 100%, but it can help a lot in the early game if you can set them up in good places. Hiding in buildings (should any be available) is another method. Not sure what I'd do in 1v1s

But kubels vs US Forces are incredibly overwhelming, for sure.

Fighting positions are nice and all, but its quite easy to simply surround one, and if you spend MP on fighting positions, you're down a rifle or 2 and they can simply overpower you

I mainly mean 1v1. 2v2 and higher is even worse

Yesterday, one grenade from Volks and all squad RET inside Fighting Position are death. FP help, but it is death trap on another side.
And you cannot get good position on middle map, versus Sturmpioners and Kenigkubelwagons.

Same in 1v1s against Kübels/OKW's death blob and Osttruppens, PAKs, Sniper and Mg-42.

In 2's and greater with a Soviet partner? Yes!

Rifle's are spiffy.
Paratroopers with M1919 or Thompson's are hot sex.
The Jackson is the best glass cannon one could ask for.
The .50 is better than the DHSK.
The A/T is alrite.

I'm done with allies for this patch. Being limited to one or two cheese strats if you ever want to win, ain't no fun at all.

Combined with Romeo's advice not to play USF pro tem, all this fills me with a certain dread.

Any Allied player like to disagree with what those above me have posted? ((politely, of course)

Huh. That's an interesting perspective from a guy with a profile linked playercard displaying stats which indicate you've never touched either of the new factions.

USF vs Ostheer matchup is actually pretty sweet. The Americans have a cool early game advantage and the Ostheer gets the better part of the late game but neither faction's advantage is so distinct that they completely dominate early/late game. USF vs Ostheer generally comes down to skill.

USF vs OKW.... this matchup isn't so much an uphill battle for the USF as it is a rockclimbing session. Kubels early game, Pumas mid (and quite often late) game and Panthers/K-T late game. Rifles become really useless really quickly unless you've gone for amassed LMGs (And Obers will still rape you in your sleep).

I think USF in 2v2 is still pretty fun. Yes for first five minutes it is hard, but it is not unwinnable. I streamed for 6 hours USF 2v2s yesterday and I won very many games, I won even a 2v1 with soviet AI so yes if you are skilled you will have fun. It's just 1v1 on certain maps that I think is pointless to even try, not whole USF faction.

Pff I think Napalm has played only AT games for a year at least, he played USF with me last night in fact.
