This should help
Now if you want to change the loading screen background you can just simply observe how its done in the custom maps by extracting them

Yes, i already know about that, but i just want to draw a circle around a certain area on the loading screen of the map and the preview screen to indicate the fighting is in this area, i do not wanna edit it that much in photoshop.
There is no other way, you cant just edit it with paint or something you gotta use photoshop?

paint.net is what I use and it works perfectly.
Very easy to learn tools but has enough depth for this kind of stuff

You should be able to use windows paint, but I don't know if it has the ability to save as the correct format. getpaint.net is a good alternative, and GIMP as well. GIMP would be closer to photoshop, but is free, but be aware, I've encountered "problems" when downloading gimp. I have a *.edu email address, so I just purchased photoshop for cheap, and it works for me.

Heres how I just did it.. goto your steam game files. Inside the MP folder you have the map files find the one with the .mm on the end (example: if you map name is "MYMAP" then the file would look like this MYMAP_mm thats the file you need to modify. open a paint editor or in my case i used Photoshop and draw on the map and rename or re-save it to the same location. Thats! how mappers are editing their map pictures. But be careful and make a copy because when you re-edit and save your map World Builder will re-save over it.
