Is this is bug or working as intended? I have seen mortars on both sides survive to 1 man and make it home to reinforce.

I've seen it with all the mortars. 120mm always survived to 1 man, but not smaller soviet mortar and german.

I have seen it happening too. It tends to happen when the mortar is packing up while retreating and gets reduced to 1-man during the animation/retreating.

I think this is a feature ever since WFA was released. I could be wrong though.

I could've sworn this was the case too.

It currently only takes 1 guy to run with a mortar, but 2 guys to operate a mortar. So if the second last guy dies on retreat, the mortar survives. If it's set up, the last man runs off the board.

Something defintily changed with WFA. I remember at one point there was a nerf to the 120mm, so that it would also die with 1 man?

I'd prefer for this one to stay since mortars tend to take the longest to pack-up since they have an odd habit of picking-up the tube to face an enemy, even when one is slamming on the retreat key.

One may say: It went down to one men, your fault!

I would counter by saying: I should not lose my mortar on retreat simply because I had it on auto-fire making the crew spend 3-4 seconds playing with the tube before they die horribly or actually start packing-up because an enemy unit showed up out of the FOW.

Its kind of a cool feature actually lol. AT guns being abandoned with 1 man left makes sense, but a mortar? Only takes 1 model to carry it

My logic exactly. Whats wrong with one man running away with a mortar? Its pretty logical compared to many things in this game, and it surely isnt breaking the game.

Dunno. From a realism perspective, 82mm Mortar weighed 56kg, and the 120mm is a whopping 280kg (not to mention the munitions weight for both). Pretty heavy and more than 1man can run with.

Just saying.

pq a better respond would had been:

It's not a bug, it's a feature! All is like we intended :P

Thx for that respond at all, but I would also recommend to implant it or shorten the time a mortar takes to retreat

Just an idea

Do you even lift?

I hope this bug becomes a feature!
