I've come to think that ambushes and traps, for example by baiting with vehicles, can be a really effective tactic. More importantly, I like doing it.
So, any advice on maximizing the impact and effect of these?
Such as, units, doctrines, hell even factions, specially suited to it?

The m20 utility car is pretty much designed to bait heavier vehicles over its mines.

One great tip is covering an area that you have mined with an AT gun. If an enemy tank drives over it, you can score a quick kill.
If you are looking for the best trap doctrine, you should look at the Wehrmacht Jeager Infantry doctrine. You can upgrade grens/pgrens with cammo that will give them first strike bonus when attacking. Upgrade a Pgren squad with cammo, place them in cover and order them to hold fire. Wait for an enemy squad to get close and un-click the hold fire button. For 5 seconds, your Pgrens will do double damage, which will clear out any enemy squad in short notice.

The best trap/ambush doctrine is by far the storm doctrine.
