Does anyone else have an issue with the first hit nearly every time disables the Sherman's engine? I feel like My Sherman gets disabled incredibly fast.

Am I doing something wrong? I don't think it's even on rear armor hits, it just magically gets disabled..

imo it's fine, it can handle a PIV, one shot a complete infantry squad it needs some weaknesses

This is just absurd. Some weaknesses? its unable to fight a panther or any tiger and you say it needs some weaknesses?

Maybe I'm just handling it wrong then, I see people being more conservative with them when watching live streams.

it's not suppose to fight a Panther or Tiger, it's not a tank destroyer nor a heavy tank, use Jackson and at guns for that. You need multiple Shermans to take out a Panther or Tiger.

I know that but implying the Sherman needs to be paper thin, because it counters infantry is just not right.

The Americans already have a light tank in the Stuart, I want something that can engage most armor and have SOME effect, and withstand more then 1.5 shells.

As for the AT guns those don't seem to do very well against heavy armor either.

I don't think it needs to be paper thin, what I meant is that I don't find it's paper thin, like I said it can handle a PIV, that's not paper thin to me.

I dunno why everyone keeps saying the Sherman isn't meant to kill other tanks. It has AP rounds for a reason lol.

Anyway you're just getting unlucky. The Sherman does pretty decent but you have to keep it at a range. Only get close if you're fighting other tanks.

Engine disables shouldn't be happening unless you get fausted.

It is a very fragile tank, though... I wind up attacking with 2-3 of them and then one gets near-dead, so I retreat them all and cover with smoke and repair.

It doesn't feel as strong as CoH1 Sherman. You basically have to do hit and run raids with them or go all-in trying to kill armor and accept that you will lose one or more of them in the process.

If you scout ahead with them and get hit once by an AT gun, it pretty much completely ruins your spearhead. So don't scout with them unless you're okay with them getting damaged in the process.

Sherman stats are very close to t34, so use it in the same way as t34.
