How much fps you got there?

Alpha was really screwed up for me. On i7 920, HD4890, lowest resolution and lowest settings i was getting like 20 constant fps.

Not enough fps to enjoy playing ;)
My desktop has an I7-920 as well, but with HD5850. The alpha loved my desktop and ran 100% smooth even with everything on max, but other people with the same hardware had lags. I don't think you can judge the performance based on the alpha test.

I don't know how HD4890 compares to HD5850?

HD5850 is little bit better, but i since i lowered resolution to something ridiculous like 8XX x 6XX and with all lowest settings it's clear that something is not right there :D Would guess it's CPU, but mine is i7 920 @ 3.66Ghz which is decent.

ATI cards had more issues then Nvidia cards during the alpha btw. That might also be why your performance wasn't good ;)

The alpha wasn't very optimized. Even some players with high end rigs got bad performance :P I'd await the beta and see how things go. I've heard Quinn Duffy say somewhere that performance has become 2,5x better since the alpha.

I have a rig that run everything I know without any issue (except small lag in Shogun 2 during huge battles on highest settings) and I got 20 FPS, constant spikes and the screen lagged as I moved it. Reminded me of how the Dayz alpha could go down to 20 FPS without lagging at all on high speed internet with a good rig.

Alphas gonna Alpha.

DayZ/ArmA runs slow because of the way the engine is designed. It simulates everything client-side, rather then server-side. So, you'd need a really good rig to run that game with 30+ FPS.

CoH2 Alpha was just, well, an Alpha. It wasn't optimised yet. So I hope it has improved alot, because I didn't like playing at 20-30 FPS (Even lower in late game).

The alpha ran perfect for me on highest settings on my 2 year old computer, of course I have an nvidia card though.

I didn't have horrid or unplayable lag, but it certainly felt far from smooth. And I hope they've fixed the command lag, it lacked the general 'snappiness' of CoH.
