I'll keep this short, as most information is listed in the link below.

I've made a simple map for farming War Spoils (for those of you who want to reduce the tear on your hardware). All graphic intensive features have either been tuned down or disabled completely.

The map has been tested, and I can confirm that it grants War Spoils (as does any other Custom map).

Happy farming!

IMPORTANT:
Do you want to be able to Alt-Tab out of the game while the computer does the farming for you? By default Alt-Tabbing out of the game will make it pause, thus not granting you any War Spoils.

TEMPORARY SOLUTION:
1. Start the game
2. Press Alt+Enter
X. Beware that this solution does not force the game to stay active, which may lead to disconnects due to inactivity

PERMANENT SOLUTION:
1. Right-click on "Company of Heroes 2" under the Steam Library and select Properties
2. Select "SET LAUNCH OPTIONS..."
3. Write "-window -forceactive" and then click "OK" followed by "CLOSE"
4. Start the game
5. If you've done everything correctly you should hear the game music play in the background when you Alt-Tab out of the game

Well, they should really have picked that one up from Valve: Adding a reward system based on "play time" without actual activity leads to people idling to get their item drops.
Well, maybe people not doing it will get a hat in the end.

I dont think they actually honestly care if people idle to get items, its all looks better on their stats when they send the figures off to Sega and whoever else.. its just like a business clawing in as much money as possible just before the end of the financial year in April just to try plump up their yearly financial figures.. but in reality they are just robbing from their next years figures. In fact im pretty sure relic did this too LOL with a huge push of commanders in March...

Nope,Valve is using the same system.
For example in TF2 there are idle servers, where you join and get free items and Valve doesn't give a **** about it.
