Can anyone help me with how Vet 3 rifles in late game deal with other Axis veteran infantry like Vet 3 Pgrens, Vet Grens with MG42 and Ubersoldaten?
I just played a game and got raped really hard by Ostheer infantry late game as Rifles did not stand up to them once they got veterancy.

win before getting into the late game.
USA is like in coh 1, their early game is very powerfull, however their late game is pretty poor.

Armor. US armor is exceptionally good against infantry. Sherman HE rounds just got buffed. It's very good at tackling enemy infantry.
If engaging with medium armor is too dangerous because of Pak40s or other AT then get M8A1 Motor Howitzer Carriages. Their range allows them to bombard enemy infantry. They're not as fast at cleaning up squads but they're exceptionally good at inflicting damage safely. Think of them as snipers with wheels. The M8A1 is better even because it can sometimes harm enemy armor. Just don't expect anything reliable there.
Both Infantry Companny and Airborne Company can actually fight these units with .30 Cal LMG upgrades pretty well. Use the Riflemen's Defensive Stance power to lock down enemy infantry who attack you. Paratroopers with the LMG upgrade can fight evenly with Obersoldaten. It's a dangerous fight for both units so take care.
In the end though elite Axis infantry are best tackled by Allied armor units.

US Armour fucking sucks and all of it gets countered by a single PzIV which is insanely difficult to take on, even with American TDs. The only time you buy a Sherman is when you're winning or are extremely, extremely desperate, or if your opponent is a clearly visible dumbfuck incapable of basic positioning or thought and will let himself get pushed around by a Sherman over and over again and never buy AT.
The secret to winning infantry engagements is numbers and munitions. The so-called "USA Blob" is almost a required strategy so as to allow your Riflemen to survive long enough to put enough damage down range to decimate Axis's more powerful infantry through focus fire and spamming grenades.
My suggestion to you in winning infantry on infantry engagements is the Medic Truck and the Major. You bring two of them up, set up a forward base that is extremely close to the focal point of the battle, but far enough away that they wont get immediately flanked, and if you don't win straight up through firepower, you'll win through attrition as your reinforcement points are closer to the fight than his are. Unless you're attacking a base, then you're just going to lose.
The key is to try and force him to blob up and engage your blob. Go for key things that will hurt him like his Fuel, cut-off point or if the game's even enough, a Victory Point.
He'll have two responses to that; One would be to blob up and engage your blob, which most of the time will go in your favour. You smash his blob and then disperse and seize map control.
The other response would be to cap around you, in which case you seize the objective, and then disperse and compete for map control, but now he's hurting that much more. And if he decides then to start engaging your dispersed squads, remember that you have a Major and Med Truck set up in the field, so if your individual squads are forced to retreat, they don't have far to go to get back into the fight.
9/10 times your units will lose straight up to Obersoldaten. That's fine, Obers are expensive as fuck and all they can do is kill infantry. Your answer to that is to throw more infantry at them.
The Mortar/Howitzer is incredibly expensive and while it does a good job of attacking dug in troops, it will never help you in fights for map control. You're better off either buying more infantry or saving the manpower for reinforcement costs - or if you're somehow floating in Fuel, buy a tank to harass your enemy with, but don't expect spectacular results as the second AT hits the field its utility is going to be massively hampered, and if an enemy tank hits the field, you're in trouble.
tl;dr More infantry and more aggression is generally the answer. If squads are fighting 1on1, make it a 2on1 situation. Focus fire, spam grenades, and forward bases.

Your Bars, Browinings, Liutenant, Paratroopers can stand and win easily against LMG Grens + PG. Specially the last ones, since they lose DPS pretty fast with each kill while you retain firepower on your weapons.
Against Obersoldaten you need to have 2+ squads focus firing.

Permanently BannedUnits like Pgrens and Stormpioneers can be easily focused down before they cause too much trouble.
Ostheer Grens and Obersoldaten are simply much superior infantry, so you have to either rely on Airborne rangers with their lmg upgrade or of course their vehicles, dont engage them with rifles except if vastly outnumbering them because anything else will drain you a lot of manpower. Shermans are simply amazing.
Well and of course good use of US support weapons.
All other infantry units can be handled by rifles
