Hey Guys,
I like to ask you if there will be a 88 - Flak how should it behave?
We all know, the Elefant is very powerfull, also the Pak43, the Tiger more or less good but doesnt behave like a 88 Gun!
Is there anybody who could explain me the difference?
1. Elefant - 8.8 cm -very powerfull
2- Pak 43 - 8,8 cm -very powerfull
3- Tiger - 8,8 cm - intermediate
4- 88 Flak - 8,8 cm - ????

The Tiger and Flak 88 use the 8,8 cm L/56, while the Elefant, Pak 43 (and Tiger II) use the 8,8 cm L/71, which means longer barrel with a considerably taller and wider cartridge and therefore more penetration power.
As how the Flak 88 would behave ingame: There's a good chance we see it in the next expansion, The Western Front Armies, again. CoH isn't known to be very realistic, so there's not really a point to guess how it would behave ingame.

Would be cool if the flak 88 could reliably shoot down an IL2 seen as they are fairly slow.
Incendiary arty would still be nice soft counter, but of course would only decrew it, so could make for some cool battles and tactics.
Would also make howies more useful, which would be a good thing.
We shall see!
