That Graph is a bit incomplete regarding the French Armed forces deployed there. It's the second largest contributor behind the US Armed Forces.
9 Rafale multi-role jet fighters, 1 Breguet Br 1150 Atlantic Maritme Scout Plane, 1 Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker in-flight refuelling plane and finally 1 E-3F (airborne early warning and control) AWACS plane at the Al-Dafrah French airbase in Abu Dhabi.
6 Mirage 2000D multi-role jet fighters in Jordan (Hosted in a Jordanian Air base apparently).
12 Rafale Marine multi-role jet fighters, 9 Super-étendart strike fighter, 2 Grumman E-2 Hawkeye AWACS plane and 6 assorted transport helicopters on-board the Aircraft Carrier Charles de Gaulle.
The Aircraft Carrier is escorted by the Jean Bart anti-air frigate, 1 anti-submarine frigate, a nuclear powered attack submarine and an oil tanker to supply the frigates.
So 36 Attack aircraft, 1 scout plane, 3 command and control planes (AWACS) and 1 refuelling plane. 41 military air-planes in total.

Major Yadollah Javadpour, an Iranian F-5 ace. His greatest fame came on August 6, 1983 when he claimed (later to be reliably confirmed) to have shot down an Iraqi MiG-25. This was a significant achievement for an F-5 pilot as the MiG-25 is a much bigger and faster aircraft with a substantial altitude advantage.

The Iraqis hit back, claiming the destruction of a SeaCobra on 14 September 1983 (with YaKB machine gun), then three SeaCobras on 5 February 1984 and three more on 25 February 1984 (two with Falanga missiles, one with S-5 rockets). After a lull in helicopter losses, each side lost a gunship on 13 February 1986. Later, a Mi-25 claimed a SeaCobra shot down with YaKB gun on 16 February, and a SeaCobra claimed a Mi-25 shot down with rockets on 18 February. The last engagement between the two types was on 22 May 1986, when Mi-25s shot down a SeaCobra.
The results of these engagements are disputed. One document cited that Iranian AH-1Js took on Iraqi Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters. Other sources report that the Iranian AH-1 pilots achieved a 10:1 kill ratio over the Iraqi helicopter pilots during these engagements (1:5). Additionally, Iranian AH-1 and Iraqi fixed-wing aircraft engagements also occurred. One source states that 10 Iranian AH-1Js were lost in combat, compared to six Iraqi Mi-24s during the eight-year war. The skirmishes are described as fairly evenly matched in another source. Iranian AH-1Js destroyed hundreds of Iraqi armored vehicles and other targets in the war. AGM-65 Maverick missiles were used in some operations.
The relatively small numbers and the inevitable disputes over actual kill numbers makes it unclear if one gunship had a real technical superiority over the other.

great pictures , but you should choose just the ones you think are good so that the thread becomes good in quality and not in quantity : )
lol I can see your point, i'll do a bit of editing. Sadly there really aren't good resources for photos from this conflict so I had to take what I could find lol.
