I was wondering if anyone could help me with a particular problem I'm having while constructing a map.
I want to have territories in my map that allow units to off-map spawn into them. Sorta to give players an incentive to attack certain territories and see what the game dynamic would be like as a result.
I'm sure there's a point in the Campaign where this happens, or maybe even one of the ToW missions so i'm pretty sure it can be done...
only problem is, I cant mod for toffee so if anyone knows the answer to how to do this (or a guide that already has discussed it would you please let me know),
thanks
setting up controllable map-edge spawn territories.

I think if you place a world owned map entry point on a territory sector, the map entry point will be owned by the territory sector owner. Then, if you would place a rally point to this sector, closest map entry point would be used, which in this case would the one you placed there. The map entry point would automatically deactivate if the territory point gets cut off.

If i understand you correctly, all you have to do is to place a map_entry_point at the edge of the playable area of the map, and inside of the territory, and the owner is set to world.
when captured you will be able to call in your units from this point.
Remember units will arrive from the closest map_entry_point to your rally-point.
You can also use map_entry_point_player if you of some reason wants to limit the use to the player that captures the point in a team.
Edit: Janne252 you did beat me to it while i was typing =P

Thanks both of you for your replies. it seems relatively straightforward. Perhaps if used sparingly, I think this option may provide a little bit more tactical depth to a map.

One of the upcoming relic maps has it, there is even a radio tower that has the description already for what you want.
