That German one is pretty boss. It's an anti-everything kit of off map call ins.

GERMAN COMMANDER: Close Air Support Doctrine
Close Air Support can provide cover for frontline engagements by utilizing the powerful weapons of the versatile JU-87 and its destructive power. Gain tactical air supremacy over your foes.

Stuka Bombing Strike
A JU-87D Stuka will dive in and drop a 50kg bomb on the target location. Capture points are neutralized if hit.
Stuka JU-87 Anti-Tank Strafe
Stuka JU-87 will strafe the target location with its powerful 37mm cannons.
Stuka JU-87D Anti-Infantry Strafe
Stuka JU-87D will strafe the target location with its powerful 7.92mm MG 17 machine guns.
Redistribute Resources
High command delivers extra Munitions at the cost of Fuel.
Stuka Reconnaissance Pass
Available aircraft will make a reconnaissance pass on the targeted location to reveal enemy forces.

The soviet commander is all broken. The photo doesn't match the description.

Cant see these commanders doing any harm to the game in being un-balanced. Great stuff!! Looking forward to trying it out- as I recall it there isnt a commander with ppsh and call-in-tanks.

Really? You can't? Because I sure can.

I thought relic realized this as well because the only other german doctrine with fuel to too much muni was osttruppen, and no ppsh doctrine had call-in tanks. Until now, anyway...

Exactly! From my Steam post...

/Facepalm

Relic Relic Relic...AGAIN! The Soviet commander is going to be the defacto commander from this day forward.

Radio Intercept - Awesome as hell
Guards - useful but hampered due to lack of AI infantry buttt....
PPSH - No longer hampered by lack of AI but thats ok because those commanders dont have call ins! But....
T34/85 IMHO best tank in the game for cost
IL2 Need I say more?

And Mark Target to boot. So yeah bu bye German Early Game, Light Vehicles, Heavy Vehicles and Infantry..........SIGH

And before any of you folks say anything I play mostly Soviets

Looks like this new commander is going to be the new Soviet Version of Elite forces...

Spamm fest at its best.
I foresee 5xCon tactics into T-34/85s.
And 5xGren spamm with Airplane mode instead of tanks

Why bother with tactics when you can just use 2 units right?

Comes in somewhere between Guards Motor, Guards Rifle and Armoured Assault

Anyone else noticed here that T34/85 have been pushed back to 9CP rather than 7?

Perhaps forshadowing what is predicted in patch

Note that the the tanks come at 9CP not 7CP

That's an extra 2CP you have to find with just infantry if you want to try that

Except the Soviet Doctrine has no drawbacks.

The German Doctrine though imho very good too will eat your fuel preventing alot of tanks.

ARGH going to have to wait another 90 days for this to get adjusted. I guarantee that commander is going to be an issue big time.

Radio Intercept by itself is a big big advantage in mid tier play. Its one of my favorite abilities. But it doesnt belong with EVERY other great soviet abilities. All they are missing are Shocks...

Essentially Guards motor without all the crappy abilities in Guards motor such as the Craptastic super expensive inaccurate 120MM MP drain, Vehicle Self repair that causes your vehicles to be paralyzed if attacked by Pios....and ending with IL2 which is just boss....

The one doctrine to rule them all...

Loaded it and it has:

0CP Radio Intercept

2CP PPSH

5CP Conscipt Repair

9CP One T34/85

10CP Il2 Strafe

So, unlike the other two commanders with 34/85 you get them one at a time and 2CP later

Il2 strafe is 10CP rather than 12

Atleast its at 9CP and not 2 of them.
Will have to try it ingame though. Now it doesn`t really sound that great.

Actually it sounds balanced with that load out. And it will allow teching AND T34/85s so you dont get punished saving for fuel and building say T4 Soviet.
