Hi, I'd like to create maps that will work in 1v1 high level matches. So what kind of maps do you like?

Gameplay wise and setting wise:
Small or big?
Water?
Open or with chokes?
Night or day?
Summer or winter?
With or without a lot of houses?

I want to make the maps you want to play! :D

Also I've been wondering, will anyone ever play matches on custom maps? In sc2 basically all the maps are player made. But since the world builder is pretty new I don't have an idea of how much the player made maps will be used.

Hi Nox, I'm aiming to do the same as you.

I think player made maps *could* make it into live rotation, but obviously they will have to be really good and prove popular in the steam workshop 1st.

I'm thinking basically a mix of your criteria, small to medium, some houses, not too many, some chokes, ocassional open bits.

I want to try have a lot of fun with true sight.

I thi k the hardest part is getting a good layout that is interesting, creates good battles and is balanced

Why are blizzards disliked so much? They are part of the game and add tactical possibilities and risks. Haven't seen any real winter map in SNF last weekend.

Some people say they are just annoying.

I guess they say that, because they are to dull to adapt to the blizzard condition and make profit of it.

A fair size like langres or kholodney, equal amounts of open and covered area, have no huge cutoffs like langres has at the north(so just a few like they have in the South of langres), balanced sides, good settings, no water(or a little is okay), good amount of houses(like langres has), and a fun landscape to play on(but not an unbalanced one).

P.S. No winter versions or blizzards preferred.

Something like Langers or Angoville, open, with cool balanced cutoffs, night, summer (winter without blizzards like semoiskiy) Water is not needed. W
