In case elevation plays a large role, then I would like to see that in the tactical map as well

A_E, as you are looking for ideas.
You mentioned, tac map can get really cluttered in 3v3 and 4v4.
If that is the case, relic could implement one zoom level for the tac map.

Standard: your view (pic 1)
one mouse wheel or some key: even larger (pic 2)

I agree 100%. I dont watch anyone who pops in/out the whole match. It feels like I am going to have a seizure the whole time.

That is why I am a big fan of having the unit icons lower left next to the minimap. So 1v1 players can move units around easily right there and not need to toggle the minimap full screen.

Would be nice for streamers/viewers to give them an option to make the minimap larger so they dont have to toggle it in/out.

I agree with the blurred background. If it is inevitable that the icons overlap when they are very close together, what they can do is that the units that we select with the control group automatically overlap on the tactical map.
Another idea is a button that overlays, on the tactical map, light tanks and heavy tanks in general.
