How to use new models?

Hello all, I'm attempting to work on a mod as the new patch and the models that came with it rejuvenated my spirits. However, I cannot seem to find how to use the new additional models. The guards' animator for assault guards is still "elite_rifleman_cape" and the airborne guards still read "sniper". I am looking under entity_blueprint_ext. Am I looking in the wrong place? I also noticed in Dar's "Unused Infantry Models" guide something called animator_set_state which I cannot find for the life of me. Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance

BTW, are the old models for some of the changed units still available? I know some had unique skins before the patch anyway.

The patch did not add new models, but skins for existing blueprints instead. Therefor all default skins are still available. The mod tools are very outdated (April 2020), that is why the skins are not applied in those entities.

The skinnames can be found in the Archive Viewer:

Set the names in ebps/ui_ext:


Animator_set_state is an action type that can be added in action_apply_ext in ebps.

You will have to create a new ABP to use the winter variants of the new skins because Relic screwed up the pathing architecture for non-British races. It is recommended you keep the original architecture so you wont have to redo the path lines. The new skins cannot be used for both summer and winter, you will have to use different entities for each.

1. Copy the original ABP i.e. rifleman.abp and rename it to something like rifleman_winter.abp
2. Replace the main mesh line with the one provided
3. Clone the entity in ebps and change the blueprint to rifleman_winter
4. Change the skin variant
