Overall I don't mind most of the 1v1 maps. I appreciate that most of them have quirks that you have to adapt your playstyle to (although some of them could admittedly be a little more balanced with base spawns).
I voted for Crossing in the Woods. I find it just BORING and uninteresting to play on as a super mirrored map with 3 VPs in a row down middle of map where it's super hard to punish things like Snipers. Most games just devolve into TD spam with MGs lining up on the VPs... it's literally the 1v1 version of campy team game maps.
I was tempted to vote for winter crossroads but I feel like the only thing that map needs is to make the fuel cutoffs less punishing like moving them slightly closer to each player's base (it's a really neat and innovative map idea but painful to play most of the time). Plus we need more winter maps in 1v1 pool to actually see winter camo!
I think there is a reason why both arnhem and lost glider are the worst maps. I think its because the amount of garrisons completely breaks the gameplay and disregards positioning, flanking and elemnents of suprise which are the main flavours of competetive rts.
