So as the title says I lost my original mod files for a small personal mod I play with friends. Is there any way of recovering mod files from steam files that are downloaded on your computer?

An .sga is a compressed file which cannot be converted back to your sourcefiles, sorry.
Edit: it seems Ragnar has a possible solution :)

You can open .sga files with the Archive Viewer. From there you can try to recover your files.

Hello, sorry for the late reply I was busy this past month and only got back into Coh2 mod building. I managed to extract the .sga files and converted them to .xml. How do I get the attribute editor and the mod builder to see them?
