Something similar to teching to BARs.. what do you think? It would mean that germans would need to save fuel and mp and therefore delaying other tech / vehicles? This would balance out the effectiveness of the lmg

The issue is PPSH being a doctrinal upgrade only.

id say make ppsh a normal upgrade on them for like 25 or 30 ammo so you cant spam it early game anyway and have to pick or using lot of molotof or ppsh

My T0-T1 split proposal answers this by making LMG T1 dependant., and making Ost T1 cost roughky the same as Sov T1 (primarily by moving Grens to T0, and therefore removing the artificial "excuse" that Ost T1 costs less, which is because T0 is only Pios).

The problem is low Ost T1 build/cost, which is squeezing Penals out of their window., which are the Sov universal AI counter. They are the "halfstep" that is from a design perspective supposed to answer the LMG "halfstep".

Improving Cons with PPSH would just force Penals even further out of their role, and make Cons even more universal a unit than they already are.

delaying teching means nothing if you can upgrade and lock both fuels

Increasing Ost T1 cost/build to Sov equivalency, and making LMGs T1 dependant (so as to deny a player skipping T1 for T2 from building LMGs against a Sov player who buys T1 and hence Penals) achieves the same result.

The other tiers are roughly equivalent in cost (but different in build time, due to Ost Battlephases allowing Pio onfield time).

I tell you guys, its the cheap Ost T1 that is fucking this all up, whereas the onky "reason" for that, is that Grens are not in T0, which is an artificial result of the T0 starting status being "ass-ymetric". Move Grens to T0, and there is no longer a reason to make T1 as cheap (and timing breaking) as it currently is.

That's true, but locking both fuels means nothing if you can spam infantry and cap other points which also give fuel..

I read your other post, yeh I think you could be right, at least this theory should be tested and see how it plays out.
