Played a game tonight where we faced a tactic I've not seen before. Anyone seen this and know a good counter?

I didn't watch the replay, but was it a flamer Engineer blob?
If so: try multiple MG42's with an LMG Grenadier blob in the back. Flamers have to get close to do damage, so keep at range. They also don't have snares, so feel free to bully them with light vehicles.

yeah kinda, he had 4 squads engineers, but not as a blob. they capped faster than me. Engies that early also win or equal grens at close range which was really annoying. they focused on cutting us off rather than taking the fuel, which made for really late light armor but at this stage we didn't have much and were really mp drained. Then one of them got like 5 t70s which we just couldn't kill, they weaved in and around all our at guns, and smashed grens before they could fire fausts and panzer grens before they could do enough with schreks.
