I've posted this replay because it's a good replay showing high level play, but also illustrates an issue I have with the recent GCS patch changing Comet Popcap to 20. To echo what many of the commenters in the thread have said, this change of the Comet popcap, in addition to all the other changes (which I agree with), is just a bit too much of an overnerf to the comet. It's easy to make direct comparisons between the Comet and the Panther (panther is still 16 popcap btw), but in the context of the armies both ostheer and OKW have Super Heavy access (KonigTiger, Tiger, TigerAce, etc.) but for Brits the Comet is IT, so it should be viable to make 2-3 of them since there is no super heavy call in to augment your force further.

This game drags out to pop cap for both armies, and Jove does just about everything Brits can do once they are at Popcap (trench spam, Fuel and Munition caches, etc.) and still struggles tremendously. Mind you, this is Pre-nerf Comets (16 pop cap) and no command panther is used this game. I can't imagine Brits battling OKW late game with a 20 pop cap Comet. Keep it at 16, or as many in the balance thread have suggested, at least revert it to 18, but 20 seems like a clear over-nerf.

And while I realize the point of the GCS patch is to keep changes to a minimum, but the Churchill Infantry Tank(18) could use a pop cap reduction as well as the British 17 pounder(20), but since these are mostly unusable anyway at high level play these issues hardly ever come up anyway.

But this game dont lose units, this game lose things that Jove just dont trade his units for RedForce units, when he was in better position. I dont think that this game lost comets, its lost coz player make wrong decision. But OWK vet need fix.
But for Churchill and 17 pounder i agree.

maybe 20 pop cap is way too much, but i believe that something else needs to be changed, brits just simply doesnt have any sort of arty (i dont count the base arty because it sucks) and i think that sexton could be non-doctrinal.

As for comet, people still hasn't realized that firefly is way better vs tanks and cromwell vs inf, and comet is something between

Jove might win if he use "Tactical Support Regiment" commander. The artillery cover will kill the tanks.

they still have the best AI an best AT tank in game (centaur and firefly).

This game is about combine arms, i've heard

But on a serious note, a FF can 1v1 a KT no problem if you take the proper micro. Brit players have become so crutched on the comet and cromwell just wiping everything they don't know how to use a FF or centaur.

Centuar is joke currently ,too slow to escape danger yet too lowly armored to soak that damage.

After all it´s medium tank (like p4 or oswind) with speed of a kingtiger ...

While the centaur may be slower than needed, Ostwinds have a minimum range and their overall damage is subpar. Furthermore OKW doesn't even have a nondoctrinal medium AI tank. All of those units need help.

Suggestion said centaur :oops: but it get rekt pretty easy cause of low speed and lack of anti vehicle power.Pros will just get cromwell for 10 more fuel instead of centaur + extra atg that require tons of pop/mp. Tank commander also give faster vet.

:ot:PS : They claims white phosphorus op need nerf but fact is rakten bullying comet . Lel:wave:
