Annoying Wehrmacht play

A very strong, but annoying player I matched with.
The sniper build + ostwind rush is so irritating, you cannot understand unless you play against it.

Luckily Soviet Industry proved to be a good counter.

I think they're commenting on the irony of complaining about your opponent "spamming" two Ostwinds when you built 5 T-70s (a significantly stronger unit than the Ostwind) and then 5 Su-76s.

You know... the irony of crying about spam when you're the one playing a more spammy build than your opponent.

Or maybe the fact that you're crying about one of the weaker factions in the game (and BMing your opponent) while playing the objectively strongest faction - a faction that has a consistent history of being the strongest faction. Sometimes the strongest by an extreme margin.

My play is imaginative, creative, and better, I'm not cheesing him.

uhh, maybe he didint mean t70 better unit, as t70 vs ostwind, but in terms of perfomance/cost. You dont really seem to think this game how you should. panzer 4 is better than t34, but cost/effect is better with t34. same with ostwind/t70. I dont call shit op, as u state in that thread of urs, but maybe it really is l2p issue. Ostheer is not weakest at all, okw is. Not sure if u trying to state soviet is. Ostheer has its sniper and mg. if we talk about real balance, all sniper squads into 1 , so sniper fights are egual. here, soviet wins again. soviet has no worries about ostheer sniper(atleast shouldnt, then its your own call if u have). And back to t70, the chance to wipe squad is rediculous high, if ur squad happens to be on low healt. I dont whine much about this games balance. all i think is snipers into 1 man squad, remove double upgrades, and bring schreks back for volks. And if u say '' omg volk blobs op with schreks'' then its l2p issue (with current add on indirect of game)

Obviously the Ostwind will beat the T-70 in a straight up fight but you have to consider the performance/cost as well as the timing at which the unit can hit the field. (Hint: the T-70 can come many minutes faster than the earliest possible Ostwind.)

Additionally you have to factor in stuff like mobility and ability to chase down/wipe squads. The T-70 has a significantly higher ability to wipe squads over the Ostwind. Furthermore it is more mobile than the Ostwind, resulting in a larger impact on the ability to control the map as Soviet.

This doesn't even start to take into consideration things like how much more difficult it is to finish off because of the mobility (harder to snare) or unit-size (AT is more likely to miss shots).

Please do not resort to insinuating that I am some kind of Allied fanboy. I strive to play both as equally as I can. Let's discuss the facts and merits, not each other. I have always tried my best to look at both sides equally.

If you look at tournament history you will see that Soviets are objectively (and consistently) an extremely strong faction. I happen to think that this patch the Soviet - Ost matchup is relatively equal but would still give the advantage (even if ever so slightly) to the Soviets.

Ultimately you asked why you were getting the reactions you were getting from people in this thread, I was merely explaining my theories based on your behavior.
