heya, Just thought i'd share this match.
Playing as ostheer langreskaya is one on my favorite maps. I feel very comfortable playing on the back foot and having a smaller amount of territory as my opponent. What i usually try to do is safe up fuel for tiger call-in right away, since the income with this playstyle is quite low.
So bassicly you will have to hold off without armor for a long time. It can be diffecult to handle the pressure that is coming towards you but with the right positioning you should always be able to handle it. In case you still crumble under the pressure (like i did a few times) just make sure to not loose any units trying to hold off, just give up on the territory and try to stike back after.
Always make sure you have 1 VP and your own fuel under control so you can stall a long time.
Wiring off the fuel is always great.
If you guys have any feedback or tip's that is greatly appreaciated. If there is another strat or build i'd like to hear it aswell
How i like to play Ostheer on Langreskaya (ost vs usf)

Langres is one (if not the only) of those maps where this can work. And tbh it's the ostheer playstyle more or less - being on the backfoot because you can't compete with riflemen in the early game. That usually snowballs into struggling with light vehicles (stuart mostly). Then the pack howi starts to bleed your MP by sniping and wiping your MGs and mortars like hell. Now that the veterancy doesn't work for infantry, USF has the infantry advantage throughout the game. And most likely the snowballing advantage too.
Some other maps though, like Kholodny ferma (especially west side) and Semoskiy where there's a lot of sight / shot blockers and basically every house in the map is against you and you have a really hard time holding even 1 VP and adequate fuel to get vehicles out early enough. The same reason MGs aren't very effective, or PaKs. There are some decent maps too like Faymonville and Arnhem. Minsk is awful in 1v1, it's too big.
On Langres you have the visibility for PaKs and MGs which is absolutely crucial. And visibility for grens too since they suck at close quarters combat. In short, this is why it's the best map for Ost. I feel like most of the 1v1 automatch maps more or less negate how Ostheer was designed to play. You are forced to go sniper aginst USF/UKF to have any chance, since with grens you can't bleed his MP - you will just bleed yourself. The sniper play however is even more micro taxing on top of the ordinary constant repositioning your MG(s), PaKs and grens. Mortars used to be pretty good for Ostheer, but now the mortar pits of the UKF and pack howis bleed them to death.
Usually you end up getting an emergency Puma or command tank because you can't afford to tech after the early game struggle. Then you try to hold on with your combined arms until some stronger T4 stuff (panther/werfer) for example.
Just my take on things, wish I could become good at Ostheer (or at the game in general) one day

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts TNrg!
You're right about the map, this is probably one of the few maps you can do this, i feel like the hedgerow in the middle makes it all possible. Because of the chokepoints MG's are very effective and teller mines aswell.
I don't really recommend people to go for a puma tho, is such a desparate move and only works for a short amount of time. It will also delay your other tech quite a bit. Personally i find it hard to micro a full inf core army, let alone adding in a puma which is very micro intensive and fragile aswell.
Ostheer will always stay a struggle, but i guess that's why i like ostheer.

Absolutely indeed. Vetererancy bug made Ostheers bad, especially without snipers. Against Soviet and USF light armor you have to plant some tellers and pray to the God, that opponent just lost his armor before you will lose any squad (it's hard to replace if you aren't playing Osttruppen).
Faymnoville, Langres, Angoville and probably Archem Checkpoint is best map for our lovely, little faction. Minsk wouldn't be so bad, but there is too many sightblockers (trees) and it makes our MG's and PaK pointlessly. Also, I could add here my thoughts about new maps. It isn't that bad as people say, but I think it's too small and because of it, there is lack of resources points and it makes it just bad for longer play (which is most crucial for Ostheers and Brits gameplay).
