T1 & T2 Ostheer with Tiger callins fighting T1 & T4 soviets.
No caches, no opel blitz trucks, just holding the center of the map and pushing to the sides for the cuttoff points.
Bottom line: Tigers are viable

Permanently Bannedgg. Always a pleasure to see a Tiger since it's hardly ever used. Def. wasn't expecting it.

I've been messing around with all kinds of openings. 2pio and 2 grens is my standard now and i use as followup different builds depending on what units i encounter. Once i saw at least 2 conscripts, i went another gren and fast scout car as it works well well against soviet t1, and it's decent against maxims.
Getting a fast flame on pio and standard HT allowed me to skip medbunker (as i reinforced as much as i could on the field) and gave me the munitions needed for a shrek in case of a t70. After 2 pg and 4 grens and seeing more than 1 scout car i knew i didn't have to worry much about t3 so pak + mg will allow me to hold my ground and save up for the tiger.
The critical point of the game was when i managed to take out the first su85. At that point i knew i had a big advantage, cause the 3 clowncars didn't set me back too far as i only lost 2-3 squads and 1 scout car(not needing to upgrade past t2 = 560 manpower and 110 fuel freed up not going for t4 to get panthers).
In any case i might consider putting up an ostheer guide if anybody is interested.

If the tiger is buffed a little this will be a very effective strategy

Tigers are fine i guess, you will struggle at first with them, but once you understand what to do and what not to do with them you will see how powerful they are.
If you get vet 2 for a tiger, it is close to unkillable

I'm more inclined towards discussing strats and trying to overcome the fact that the game offers the option of using some builds like maxims spam and what not. I'm not really into accusing/defending others, as i am rather new to the Company of Heroes scene. I played against Sage quite a number of times during beta and after release, and he used different strats everytime. Everybody will abuse from time to time some combo of units that are very strong depending on maps (i know i did with opel trucks and strafe, and it gets boring after a while), but there are also people that do it on every occasion. This is how the game works even if we like it or not.
