I also met him on the rank game. but I still didn't understand why he did not using the GuardMortor commander. I think non-guard commander is not a good selection in the meta.

hm, talking about meta: I wouldn't consider shock rifle non meta, especially not if you spend all your fuel on a dozen of is2s
many people loved ShockRifle and it has already proven to useful commander.
however I think that commander needs some condition. it is a good start in the early game and u should be able to prepare the tier 3.
why does dbmb got win the StarCrossCup(of course, I still think Giap is better but dbmb is the winner). he is the one who adapt early on the meta. he selecting the Guard spam, using Ostheer sniper in the early game etc...
well I mean, Guards is the best selection on this meta. gg wp.

Giap was also playing with 500+ ms and frequent lag spikes/freezes.
And yet Giap still smashes me like I'm a total scrub. I can't imagine what a champ he would be with NA ping.

you are right. I also know about Giap has truly bad condition to play coh2.
and he said when his M20 died, "too lag". Giap is actually often suffer these things.
that is why I say 'I think Giap is still better than the others'.

The thing that has been so surreal about this game were the hilarious IS2 and Tiger ricochets. Never seen RNG have such a big impact on the game (apart from plane crashes of course).

Tiger vs IS-2 is everytime full of RNG.
Best start as Soviet is :
4 cons + 1 M3 + 2 guards upgrade for 150 munitions. You rekt everything vs an ostheer Player
vs shocks, you can just get the little HT in the stug e Doc, and you win easily

I was ranked 1 in 1vs1 with the 4 factions available in 2015.
