At one point we had just a few shreks and 1 AT gun against about 5-10 T34s, then late game lost 2-3 heavy tanks on ice. GGWP

This was a very good game. Losing a full health tiger and a brummbär in the ice is pretty hard to get over. :/ Hard fought win that came down to both sides under 50vps with fairly equal map control. Russians probably could have won this game a few times if they had been just a little more aggressive when we were actually much weaker than they thought we must have been.

And when a Pak killed a T34 the explosion sunk my nearby first PIV that was only partially on the ice, I lol'd MVGame

Yea, good point. He could have played better and been more involved with his mate, but then again I felt as if I left Basilone hanging a time or two as well, and I was definitely slower than usual. I was also trying new strats out that night, and this was one of those experiments, which was costly, but still successful, to an extent.
I think we got lucky a few times, and just simply outfought them a few times. In my estimation the russians had every chance to seal the game, but were too hesitant to advance on us because they assumed we had stiffer defenses than we actually did, and when they did advance, as you pointed out, we just so happened to have shored up our defenses with an extra pak or two, as well as the pgren support, later the combined counter attack with my tiger and pgrens on the leftmost point by the bridge with basilone was a desperate last act to repel them, which was repeated several times. Beautiful hard fightin'.
Another notable time was when I carelessly probed the opposite flank away from the fighting and just happened to stumble into the sizable armoured column which I'm sure was staging for a mass attack to encircle our frontline units or rush out HQs, I guess this is when they were idle...this small probe spoiled what could have quite possibly been a game winning rush from our exposed flank.
Watching again, the game was plagued by mistakes, but what game isn't? There was some bursts of tactical brilliance, and some other times some tactical incompetence (mostly by me) mixed with good and bad micro throughout...but in the end it was a damn good game that pretty closely related the brutal eastern front that Relic was trying to portray. It went down to the wire, and basilone and myself aren't exactly slouches in the realm of COH and COH2...we went something like 7-0 that night as well and these guys put up a valiant effort. Was a GG for sure, filled with some unique moments.

yea there were alot of mistakes here and there but i tend to see that in MANY coh2 games even i make a fuckton its a given since people are trying to get used to coh2, make no mistake im not trying to say you played badly or anything i just found it strange. it was a gg none the less

Thanks much, great shout cast! Enjoyed it thoroughly! ...though you did miss my 2nd tiger sinking! Was a sad day for the ost heer because it was full health about to take on the damaged IS2 and company in the east with that drowned Pg squad.
Also, one cannot judge coh2 play the same way as coh1...the upkeep and popcap is ridiculous at times, so I find myself sacrificing good units just to get even better units. I.e. the brummbar no health rush in the middle, figure I'd maybe kill some infantry before it went down...because it's upkeep/popcap combo that late is hard, and the fact that it takes three decades to repair anything makes it an easy choice to die for the vatherland. (see:tiger west, captured t34 mid)

Well well what a great game did think we had it at one point with the mass of t-34s but we dident combine them and form a more deadly two pronged attack on the tiger probs would have sealed it but it did take a brilliant stand from the axis ! WP Esky n Basilone good win
Thanks to RnP for the cast was a thrill keep it up MEN
