This is one of the best maps for a forward HQ and defensive play, if you can survive the early game you can lock down the map really well

I suppose that if you can't survive the onslaught...you're in deep do do.

Thanks for the cast, guys! This was cool. I was literally yelling at the top of my lungs at the failed sturmtiger shot at the end. I waited sooo long for it! Also, should have been spamming S-Mines a lot sooner, but this was the first time I've actually played this commander. I lost that early flak which actually cost me some fuel in the early game. I want to see more unconventional strats being played, props to bas for not rushing the M15 like everyone else this patch.
For the record my comments in the beginning of the match regarding long live vcoh were meant to be sarcastic. I freaking love this game, and I was actually kind of taking a shot at Basilone for constantly bashing coh2, hence the "amirite".

This new commander seems SO OP for OKW. It's like give them everything WM has....ok... S-mines and the PAK 43 and normal bunkers, jesus!!!, LOL.... wow when can I get my hands on this.
What is the name of this commander BTW?

I think its called defensive fortifications doctrine. To be honest, the Pak43 is really expensive in terms of pop cap and is only viable on maps like this where there are two vps close together. Also, the OKW bunker can't be upgraded into anything but an MG, which was disappointing to find out. Haven't really tried out the flak yet, this was my first and only game with the commander, but I like the stability it gives in terms of being able to defend a flank w/ s-mines, and on certain maps the pak43 is pretty sweet. I think my setup was a little sloppy, to grouped up. Some indirect fire could have really hurt me.

Yeah the combination of S-mines MGs and Pak43 that can fire through everything made the middle almost untouchable. I should have brought the bulk of my infantry to middle earlier with AT gun to clear the MG bunker, but he was doing a really good job harassing the left VP and it was difficult to split up my units accordingly to resecure the mid while holding the left.
Some indirect fire could have really hurt me.
I tried but my field gun only got a couple kills the entire game.

Yea...it looked rough. Going by the USA vs Jes games I think this can be avoided now. Although...they make it look easy and it's not.
But in theory US wins almost every time vs OKW on this map.
