Fighting For Freedom Tournament

Do you play COH2 with friends? Do you create the most epic games, with strategic flanking manoeuvres, coordinated commander choices and incredible team play? Then maybe you and your friends will be the first 3v3 champions in COH2.ORG’s history!


The Fighting for Freedom tournament is a 3v3 European(UTC -1 - UTC +2) tournament. You can join if your are not in these time-zones, but you have to be present at exactly the times set out below! If you do not arrive on time, you will be disqualified!

In this tournament, generals will fight each other on the best 3v3 maps. We are going on a journey from the Cold Rzhev to the Industry of Essen Steel Works. The tournament will be played over 2 weeks. 16 teams can sign up. If there are more than 16 sign ups, I will choose the 16 teams who can participate! You want to find out more about this tournament? • 500 VP
  
• Fixed starting positions (Allies 1,2,3,4 and Axis 5,6,7,8)
  
• Bulletins are banned
  
• No more than two of the same armies in one team
  
• Mirror matches are banned
  
• Advanced Emplacements Regiment is banned
  
• Luftwaffe Supply Doctrine OR Close Air Support (not both!) is only allowed in the loadout of one player (AXIS)
  
• Mobile Assault Regiment is banned (ALLIES)
  
• Tactical Support Company is only allowed in the loadout of one player (ALLIES)
  

Details

• All the rounds, except for the finals, are BO3. That means both teams will play at least once as Axis and once as Allies! The bottom team, team B, in the brackets will start as Axis.
  
• First, teams will veto maps. Team B, bottom in the brackets, starts. Continue with the vetos until there is one map left.
  
• After the that process, Team B will choose their army commanders before team A does the same.
  
• In the second round, the process will be exactly the same, but the other way around.
  
• The team with the most VPs from game 1-2 combined, will pick either Allies or Axis for the 3rd game. The other team will then pick their commanders. BUT if you play as ALLIES in the 3rd game, you have to play as a different army than the one you played as in game 1 or 2.
  
• If somebody disconnects within the first 10 minutes of a game, the match must be restarted.
  
• If there is any sign of cheating during the matches, contact me or another referee. We will decide the outcome and our decision will be final.
  
• Your opponent goes through to the next round if you fail to show up within 45 minutes after the check-ins have closed.
  
• The team captain of the team that won the BO3 round must upload the 2/3 games in a special thread. You will receive further information about this after the sign ups have closed.
  
• The semi-finals and finals will be casted by Stormless!

Time

• On 26th of May at 12:00 CET, the sign-ups will close.
  
• On 27th of May, the brackets will come online.
  
• On 28th of May, 15:30-16:30 CET, check-in in the chat of the Steam group. You will receive an invitation after the sign ups have closed.
  
• First Round and Quarter Finals: 28th of May at 16:30 - 19:30 CET and 19:30 - 22:30 CET.
  
• Semi-Finals and Finals: 4th of June at 15:30 - 19:30 CET and 19:30 - 22:30 CET.

Other rounds: All 3v3 automatch maps are allowed apart from Lazur Factory and Montargis Region.

Sign Up

If you want to sign up then please give me the following information:

• Team name
  
• Team tag
  
• Team captain/contact person (STEAM ID AND STEAM NAME)
  
• Team member 2 and team member 3 and team member 4 (STEAM ID AND STEAM NAME)
  
• You are allowed to sign up a 5th team member (I highly recommend it!!), but if you don’t and you don’t have enough players, the other team will automatically go through to the next round
  
• Team logo (if you have one)

Prizes

You can help to raise the prize pool for this tournament by donating to me. 100% of the donations will be used for the prize pool of this tournament! You can donate now or during my special streams on Twitch!

The team captain needs to have a valid PayPal account to obtain the money from the prize pool. If you don’t have a PayPal account, then make sure you have one before entering this tournament! Furthermore, you need to provide me with the account details within 10 days after the tournament. If not, the whole prize pool will go to the second place and vice versa! I am not responsible for the distribution between individual players in one team! The Winning team receives 75% of the prize pool and the Runners-up receive 25% of the prize pool!

Closing

If there is anything which is unclear during the tournament, please speak with the organisers. They will look at the problem and make a decision. Be aware that their decision is final!
