TFN World Championship Groups & Brackets

Two very special dates draw ever closer Company of Heroes fans, two very important dates indeed! On Tuesday June 25th, when the team at Relic are already in the office since 5:30am to prepare the first (Australian) launch of the game we've all been waiting for: Company of Heroes 2. As you read this the game will already have been released around the world, and the great game we have nurtured as a community throughout lengthy alpha and beta phases will finally be released in its full glory.

However there is a second, equally important date to take note of. On Friday June 28, the TFN World Championship for Company of Heroes 2 will begin. The 128-player tournament will last 3 days, with an opening group round leading into a brutal single elimination bracket. You can find more rules and information here. Over 150 players have already signed up with 11 specially invited expert players joining them as the elite. Bringing some home-grown style to the Eastern Front are 3 Relic developers: EagleHeart, pqumsieh and Nydeonz. How will the big community names fare against the experienced and knowledgeable developers? Only time will tell, make sure to tune in to twitch.tv/thefrontlinenetwork on each night from Friday June 28 to Sunday June 30 to find out!

Even better, the shoutcasting powerhouse of AmiPolizeiFunk and Yoink of Sunday Night Fights fame will be bringing the action from the Eastern Front on Saturday 29, starting at 0900PDT. The special one-off warm-up show will lead directly into the TFN Broadcast Night starting at 1900GMT, and will show off some of the best games from the Day 1 group bracket games. So be there or be square, at 0900PDT on the Sunday Night Fights twitch channel to catch some hot CoH2 action from the tournament!

We've been hard at work here in The Frontline Network nerve center creating the brackets and groups, and they are finally ready! 95% of players who signed up have recieved a start time for the day 1 group stage on Friday within 2 hours of their requested time, and for those who didn't we apologise. Hopefully you can make your altered time!

Consider this newspost thread to be a form of advanced sign-up: let us know you're still alive by posting your group in the comments below, and make sure to join the TFN Steam Group so that you can start getting acquainted with your opponents!



If you were waitlisted the chance that you will play is still quite high; however, given the nature of the split times for Day 1 we will only be able to swap you in for a no-show player if you make yourselves known to the referees. So please join the TFN Steam Group and be around on Friday! Let the referees know when you have arrived so they can swap you in. NO SHOWS ARE ALMOST GUARANTEED. IF YOU WERE WAITLISTED YOU WILL PROBABLY STILL GET TO PLAY ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS - YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE THERE ALL DAY, BUT THE MORE FLEXIBLE YOU ARE THE HIGHER THE LIKELIHOOD OF PARTICIPATION.
