"very well balanced for the most part."
What?!

"the Soviet Army and the German Wehrmacht two very well balanced factions"
"Soviets are a very forgiving faction great for beginners"

That sounds like it

Probably the most useless post up to now.

On top of that:

"Firstly analyse what type of player you are and then assess what you need, just out for a standard RTS campaign? Buy the base game. Not a fan of what you've read on Steam reviews by angry Russians? Buy the Ardennes Assault pack."

Isn`t that a bit of a dumb reason not to buy the standard game?
And a bit offensive towards Russians?

I thought we all forgot about the dumb review done by a 14 yo kid who has no knowledge of actual WW2 history

Considering the volume of people that ask the same questions about what to buy I'd say not.

"Isn`t that a bit of a dumb reason not to buy the standard game?"

Lot's of people didn't buy CoH2 based on negative user reviews, so lot's of people are stupid according to your statement.

"And a bit offensive towards Russians?"

Not in the slightest.... have you never read the Steam reivews? CoH2 has a 2.0 user score rating based on THOUSANDS of 0.0 reviews by Russian users, based on the campaigns negative highlighting of NKVD blocking troops etc. So you're saying you're offended by me pointing out that lots of Russians were offended when the game came out.....?

You cannot truly believe that this post which obviously had alot of effort put into it and is mean't to aid new users is useless? Rule #3 about growing a product/business: target new groups/consumers etc

People ask this questions?

If people ask questions as what to buy from other users who have the game and 80% probably are "bias or fanboys" probably proves that they are kinda stupid.... Note: I am not trying to offend anyone here.

I have read the reviews thats why I don`t consider them when I buy a game, because as I mentioned above most people are either fanboys or haters. So I would rather see gameplay of the game from players just to see if its interesting to me.

I am not denying an effort that was put into the topic. But if you summarize it n tl:dr; then its just buy whatever you feel like buying, thats why I said that it was kinda useless but this is my opinion

It doesn't say buy what you feel like buying it says assess what type of player you are and make informed decisions based on that. No guide should 100% tell you what to do with your own money.

This wasn't written for you anyway as you own the game.

You don`t have to be offended by what I said though, I just criticized the topic.

Another question, how many new users we have on coh2.org that do not own the game?
I always had the impression people bought the game first and then looked at forums

I'm not offended I just think your criticisms are illogical.

People tend to do research before they buy a game, especially game that had a faulted release like CoH2 did but is often on steam sales. The strength of the multiplayer community is a big factor, therefore a guide like this would be very helpful.

COH2.ORG for CoH2 = Teamliquid.net for SC2.

We sadly do not have much of a multiplayer community. Since 70% of all players will never know about coh2.org. All they care about is whether or not the game is fun for them personally, if it isn't they touch it once and then never again or return for big patches if they notice or are bored. :foreveralone:

OK the original motivation for this post comes from my moderation of the companyofheroes subreddit. I see this question asked three times a week at least therefore wrote a guide on it, from my experience it's definitely something new players struggle with. For example running a search for "buy" on /r/CompanyofHeroes gives:

https://www.reddit.com/r/CompanyOfHeroes/search?q=BUY&restrict_sr=on&sort=relevance&t=all

So yeah, there definitely was a market for this post, and I asked the staff at COH2.ORG whether they wanted it reformatted for this site they said yes.

The biggest problem this game has is the toxic cunts that play it.

Tbh I think I might make that my signature...

It's a guide to ppl who are thinking of buying the game.

And VonIvan, don't know what anti-relic campaign you're running now (for a change) but it's really boring. :foreveralone:

Every new commanders was Op or stay Op now

Pay to Win.

Tiger Ace, CAS

( This message was delete )
Don't know why, they are Op lol

Relic can make 2 things : New heavy tanks or artillery, these units don't need to be Op for $$$

Or make abilitys and some things OP like tiger Ace for $$$

If the new commander is not a Better Meta than the current commanders, why you will buy it ? lel

It need to be of course Op $$$

British will be Op for sur first months

Why this thread still open to comment? Why it was open to comment at the first place ?

This is just , read the guide and decide to buy or not , comments shouldn't be there imo.
