As an exception, I agree with Akosi. Different tournaments for different skill levels is very common, but hard to define in CoH2. Next to that, the 2v2AT ladder positions are highly volatile, to the extent that there is absolutely no set top 10 or top 100. Although, the shapes of a given skill level will show over time. Personally, I prefer to watch high skilled players fight it out.

You could also propose a better way instead of just pointing out the obvious :).

In my opinion. No one in the top 100 1v1, no one in the top 10 of any 2v2 (RT or AT) and no one that has won any tournaments in this past. Granted, this might exclude too many people/might be too strict but I think it'd make it the most fair. There are plenty of people outside the top 10 on ladder that would still be good enough to sweep any true underdogs that signed up.

I suggested in a subtle way that it is better to wait for a clear distinction between skill classes, before hosting a tournament such as this one. You would have noticed this, if you would have read my reply as a neutral reply instead of taking every comment in a negative way.

This is a good tourney idea, but there is an issue with the sign up reqs. I'd exclude the top 50 or the top 75 personally.

Its an arbitrary line that is difficult to draw. We'll see what it gives now.
I do respect opinions, I really do, but we have to start somewhere.
Maybe next time we exclude top 100, maybe top 20. Let's all see what it gives.

As you value constructive criticism, it should be noted that multiple teams that have signed up at this point have previously been in the 2v2AT top 10, but hold this spot no longer due to the very volatile nature of the ladders.

bad tournament... seriusly what is wrong with you ppl? It is like, "here, take these DLC, you were the one who suck least, and we will stream your matches where you lost 10x squad"
If you really want to do this, cut the line to have atleast 100 games and not be in top200, but you know the difference is too big even between rank 201 and 301... then what you expect from 201 vs 1001?
...paralympic

Seriously, what is wrong with you Akosi?
It's a game. People play it to have fun. It's common to have not-for-pros tournaments in every other discipline in the world, but it's bad idea to have one in coh2?!

There is an ESL tourney twice a month where everybody can signup and be on SNF. Last time you could get to semi-finals just by singing up, because somehow no pros want to participate. Instead they prefer to try to get into "underdog" tournament? And they bitch about creating a tourney in the first place? Nice community....

BTW sorry for messing up the singup page.

TBH Why's everyone complaining?

My rank is above 3000 and I have no problem facing someone who is rank 100.
Even if that means that I'll get my ass handed to me. I just want to play and have fun. Also, there's no better way to learn than to get your ass beat by someone better than you.

let's just give these guys a chance at organizing this tourney. Worst comes to worse, they'll just refine it and make it better the second time around.

There are now more than 16 teams signed up. Does this mean i cant sign up anymore or will you make additional rounds?

Probalby not all the teams will be allowed to play.
Others may decide to withdraw at last moment. So if I were you I would still sign-up.
