what's wrong guys, don't you want vcoh?
You crafty little fox.. |
Oh I see. Well, I don't think it is the PPSh, otherwise it'd be titled "Conscript Assault Package"*. The text "anti-tank rifle." is barely made-out in the description.
*Thanks to that suggestion though, I realised it likely says "Conscript ???? Package", probably PTRD or PTRS.
I do agree though that the Jaeger Infantry seem very powerful, but they also seem like a bigger manpower drain than Shock Troops, costing 56 manpower per-soldier to reinforce. They also take up 14 Pop cap per-squad, that's as much as a KV-8 and would be the highest in the game. More than one squad would wreak hell on your manpower float. |
2 CP for the first one is PPSH's.
Look closer, it appears to say "PMD-5M" (which doesn't exist, but the PMD-6M does), the text "ines" (mines?) can be made out in the description, and finally the picture appears to be a box shape (the PMD-6M was a rectangular wooden mine). Last of all, the PMD-6M anti-personnel mine is already in-game in the often overlooked Defensive Doctrine. |
Soviet Trenches would be overpowered due to the nature of the faction design. German Trenches can be burnt out with Molotovs, Engineers, Molotovs, Penals, Molotovs, and KV-8's. On the other hand, Germans have Pioneers and FHT's, of which Pioneers may be about the same, but the FHT is paper-thin and less damaging than the KV-8.
We'd just end up with a CoH1 problem, what does Brit do if Germans steal one of their trenches? It's a problem with very few effective solutions, and you have to go way out of your way to solve it, compared to the intended solution which is literally a button click away.
(Note I'm talking about Trenches / Slit Trenches, not Machinegun Nests) |
Russian Tier 1 vs Ostheer Tier 1:
There's no unit in Ostheer Tier that counters soviet sniper. you are forced to charge with your infantry.
At least in Coh1 you had bikes.
This is what is really missing from Sniper play, a low cost (no fuel) vehicle that can scout for Snipers and hunt them down. Both Scout Car's currently available cost fuel, and generally fill a different role.
They should just make T0 Kübelwagen and GAZ-67, for about 250MP each. |
pzgrens and shocks are fine, its rifleinfantry thats worthless and need a huge damage buff.. rifles in coh2 is like bbguns
Actually the real reason is infantry in CoH2 have a lot more health. Riflemen had 55, Volks had 65, Grens had 80, etc. But in CoH2, everything except Partisans (48), Osttruppen (48), and Snipers (40) have 80 health. The armour modifiers ontop of them give them even more tankiness (Grenadiers have 1.5, Shock Troops have 2.25, etc). |
Imho I think most of the balance issues result in the lack of T-34/85 for the Russians. Relic should really consider making them non-doctrinal.
This I can support. I thought it was weird that we're late-war, and yet the T-34/85 is not only doctrinal, but uncommon among doctrines at that. Put the T-34/85 in T3 as a separate unit from the T-34/76. |
It is possible to have these images without text above?
No but I did my best to read behind the lines.

2CP - Sprint
1CP - Stormtroopers (Poster Note: Stormtroopers have been renamed Jaeger Light Infantry, they are very expensive but highly skilled soldiers. They consist of 5 men armed with G43 Rifles, and they possess the ability to decap sectors at a rapid rate but cannot take them). |
^ Why not just remove Heavy Tanks and give the Russians Panzer IV's? |
I don't like them because their nature, you have to predict when you will sustain casualties, or you will waste a shitload of munitions for absolutely nothing. I'd prefer it if it were more the other way around, where you could pay to replace losses in the last 60 seconds with Fresh Conscripts* or Osttruppen. I'm sure the 'pro' players would disagree though.
*Fresh Conscripts are weaker than normal Conscripts, they're seen in the campaign. |
