Phase One Is Complete!
Phase One Is Complete!
The maps are in. The play tests are happening. And the feedback is on its way! Your friendly high brass here at COH2.ORG are proud to announce, we have entered the final stages of phase one in the 2014 Community Map Making Contest and will be quickly stepping into phase two. You saw the update and were all warned, submissions and further entries for the contest are now closed. We have a great lineup of maps and can't wait to show them off to you all. Our judges are now assessing and reviewing the maps and will be sending the creators their respective feedback. So listen up & listen well!
As we have reached phase two of the competition, we are releasing all maps to the community to have their own play tests and experiences on the new maps. To do this, one of our admins, Janne252, has put together a Steam Workshop playlist featuring all 37 community created maps. Thanks to this playlist setup, you the community will find it even easier to access and become acquainted with the latest community maps. So show your appreciation and give the playlist a 'thumbs up' rating. Along with this, a guide has been created to help those more advanced mappers access the community entries in World Builder. So hurry up and get out there, get amongst the new maps and give them all a chance.

This tool can be used to extract COH2 Map .sga files for viewing them in the WorldBuilder.
Save the downloaded executable to your Company of Heroes 2 installation folder*1.
Drag and drop the .sga files you want to extract over the window to begin extracting.
.sga files are stored in my games*2\company of heroes 2\mods\scenarios\subscriptions\
In order to open these extracted maps in WorldBuilder, you must copy the extracted folders to Company of Heroes 2 Installation folder*1\CoH2\Data\scenarios\mp
*1: By default COH2 Installation folder is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Company of Heroes 2\
*2: You can access your "my games" folder by clicking START or by pressing WIN on your keyboard and then by selecting "Documents" from the start menu. You should see the folder "my games" appearing in the folder you just opened.
Another way to achieve this is by pressing WIN+R in your keyboard and then entering "documents" without quotation marks and pressing enter. You should see the folder "my games" appearing in the folder you just opened.
