The Company of Heroes 2 Community Map Making Contest is well under way and there is just one more week to submit your entry. The maps for all types of modes are welcome – from the compact 1v1 to the huge 4v4; it is your call!
We have received some great stuff since the launch of the competition and are expecting more. So far there have been twenty submissions: fourteen for 1v1 and 2v2 maps and six for the large maps modes. Your chances of getting noticed are still good if you can get your project on time! See all the submissions on the Map Making Contest Subforum. Each entrant has the opportunity to submit two maps. Submissions can be of the same category (eg two 1v1 maps).
The winners not only have the chance to have their maps included in the official map list for the game, ensuring eternal fame and bragging rights, but also win some prizes! After all, what kind of the competition that would be without the prizes, right? The prize pool for the contest is a significant $840 + various DLC and cool Airborne Ales t-Shirts. The first prize winner in each of the three categories will receive $150 plus a copy of the official Company of Heroes 2 soundtrack, courtesy of Relic Entertainment, signed by composer Chris Velasco and most of the Company of Heroes 2 development team. The three second prize winners will receive $80 each and stylish t-shirts from Airborne Ales. The three third prize winners will each receive $50 and, courtesy of SEGA, DLC for Company of Heroes 2.
The preliminary deadline for submissions is Friday, April 11, which means that you still have a whole week to create a masterpiece (or a ridiculous monstrosity) and enter the competition. Get creative! Get bold! Get it done!

I am exceptionally impressed with the amount of competition so far, and with the first stage coming to a close, I can only emphasise the following: if you want feedback from our Judging Panel, and a better chance at taking the top spots, April 11th is your deadline! You can still enter the competition after this date, but you will have no opportunity for further critique!
The best of luck to you all. Let's see what you can do!
